My name is Shana and I'm a fine art photographer in the small (but great) state of Rhode Island.  I reside on a charming 60 acre farm where I live with my wife, dog, fat cat, and 2 horses.  I am a transplant from the West Coast and my answer for where home is changes on any given day.

At a young age, my family experienced a tragic loss and this deeply shaped how I saw the world. For me, it's always been a contrast between the living and the dead, the light and the dark, the past and the present, and I see this reflected in my images over and over again.  Most of my work centers on some form of loss, and my inability to let go.  In my photographs, I honor my ghosts, giving them breath to move around in the frame, and reassuring them I will never forget.
